Applications Engineer II-Hardware

Estimated annual base pay: $77,000 (minimum) - $100,000(midpoint) - $123,000(maximum)

Senior Applications Engineer-Hardware

Estimated annual base pay: $93,000 (minimum) - $121,000 (midpoint) - $149,000(maximum)

Applications Engineer II-Hardware

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Maintenance: Competent understanding of electrical design to support test setups and debug recommendations and may support small changes.
  • Technical Support: Evaluates technical problems by examining various factors and data, developing and implementing effective solutions under guided direction.
  • Application Processes: Supports technical content in proposal creation, contributes to product specifications, electrical design, and application literature. Promotes and implements process improvements.
  • Execute Technical Assignments: Carries out a range of technical tasks and projects, resolving moderately complex issues using current technologies and established procedures.
  • Apply Business Expertise: Utilizes knowledge of key business drivers and company processes to inform technical decisions and align projects with organizational goals.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrates expertise in engineering technologies and tools utilized in the role.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to various audiences.

  • 4 Year Bachelors BS degree

Successful candidates typically have:

  • Familiarity with BOM.
  • Experience in electrical cabinet design and development is preferred.
  • Experience in AutoCAD Mechanical or Electrical

Senior Applications Engineer-Hardware

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Maintenance: Fully proficient with application to support test setups, debug recommendations, and electrical design changes.
  • Advanced Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves intricate technical challenges by analyzing multiple information sources and applying innovative solutions.
  • Application Processes: Supports the commercial group in proposal creation, technical support of commercial offers, and customer presentations. Creates product specifications, electrical design and application literature for Minor Scope Projects/Systems.
  • Project Management: Leads small to medium sized engineering projects, coordinating resources and timelines to achieve project objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Guides the design and implementation of complex application systems, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in primary and related technical domains, adept with a range of technologies.
  • Effective Communication: Proficient in conveying difficult or sensitive information and fostering consensus.
  • Cross functional Collaboration: Skilled in working with multiple global teams and subject matter experts, internal and external, to build consensus and drive successful outcomes across multiple projects.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Ability to solve sophisticated technical issues through analytical judgment. Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Mentorship and Support: Acts as a resource for junior engineers, providing guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to enhance team expertise.
  • Market and Competitive Awareness: Knowledge of market differentiators and competitive landscape to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze multiple sources of information to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Best Practices Knowledge: In depth understanding of industry best practices and their application within the organization. Promotes and implements process improvements.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Skilled in creating, maintaining and adhering to accurate technical requirements, documentation and records.
  • Applying Standards: Working knowledge of standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into projects.

Other Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Bachelors BS degree AND 4+ years equivalent experience

Successful candidates for the Senior Applications Engineer level typically have:

  • Familiarity with F&IDs, P&IDs, and BOM.
  • Experience in electrical cabinet design and development is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial electronic instrumentation is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical or Electrical
