Position Summary: The Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Sr. Paralegal and in-house Attorneys in various legal matters, including litigation organization and discovery, general legal research, and regulatory compliance matters. This position requires 1-3 years of experience working in the legal field, with in-house experience preferred but not required. This individual must be very self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and coordination skills. Experience with handling discovery tasks and interfacing with litigation counsel is strongly preferred. The Paralegal collaborates across all departments, working individually and in a team environment, in order to effectively and efficiently meet the company's goals and needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Support pre-litigation and litigation matters, as well as intercompany legal requests. Interface with outside counsel on litigation tasks and scheduling. Manage, track, and calendar litigation deadlines.
  • Liaise with other departments within the company and external parties to ensure efficient workflow and handling of requests.
  • Provide general support for legal research tasks as well as intercompany requests.
  • Assist Legal staff in supporting the Customer Service department with customer concerns and complaints.
  • Provide general support for legal research tasks.
  • Assist Legal staff in contract management, including maintenance of contract management software.
  • Assist Legal staff in collaborating with other departments within the company to ensure efficient workflow and handling of requests.
  • Assist Legal staff in regulatory and Intellectual property filings and maintenance, and other duties as needed.
  • Perform additional legal functions and administrative duties as required and suitable for a Paralegal.
  • Must be able to travel infrequently.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
  • Communicate effectively to supervision regarding problems and corrective action.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • Bachelors degree preferred, 1-3 years of experience in experience working in the legal field with in-house experience preferred but not required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • General firearms knowledge, or engineering knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), CLM software experience preferred.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to carry out multiple tasks from start to finish.
  • Capable of completing tasks as assigned in a timely manner and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Require little supervision.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
