Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and operationally focused EVP/CGO to build and lead an impactful growth organization and act as a collaborative business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team. This person must have excellent business development skills as well as a successful track record of building high-performing growth organizations.

As the key member of the executive leadership team, the EVP/CGO will assume a strategic role in the overall growth and management of the company. They will have primary responsibility for all business development, capture, and proposal operations. Reporting to the CEO, the EVP/CGO will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in the National Security markets, with specific emphasis across the DoW, DHS, and IC. This leader shall be able to demonstrate repeated success in winning new business in the competitive full and open technology markets.

The EVP/CGO must be comfortable evaluating the personnel strengths and weaknesses and acting decisively to foster an environment where superior quality of work and predictable revenue growth can be achieved. Cydecor seeks a business leader who can lead from the front and get involved in all aspects of business development, working closely with other executives across the business and as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor.

Cultural fit is critical. The EVP/CGO must lead by example, hold people accountable, and exhibit a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style with outstanding interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Executive leader individually accountable for the company's growth, expected to work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team on developing and strengthening revenue-generating strategies.
  • Responsible for building and maturing metrics-driven growth operations that ensure accountability and effective oversight across all pipeline stages.
  • Drive growth of the pipeline through the identification and qualification of new business opportunities that are consistent with business strategies by leveraging all technological strengths, including AI/ML capabilities, solutions development, and functional services/consulting offerings.
  • Lead senior level engagement with end customers, primes and partners to support the development of winning campaign strategies that improve the quality and depth of our market and competitor intelligence to influence/enhance our win strategies.
  • Responsible for developing key Federal Government customer relationships, engaging key stakeholders, and implementing strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
  • Oversee marketing, communications, and relationships. Focus on product and service offerings and supporting Federal Government markets, while keeping employees informed.
  • Evaluate and support M&A opportunities and strategic partnerships that align with company growth objectives.
  • Build and continually train high-performance business development team by hiring, growing, and retaining strong talent.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance, problem-solving, team-centric and solution-oriented culture.

Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of business development and operations experience.
  • 5+ years of leading a business development team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience in all aspects of Business Development including Account Management, Capture, Proposal Development, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations.
  • Experience within DoW, DHS, and IC customersis critical.
  • Experience with SBIRs, OTAs, and similar non-traditional federal acquisition vehicles.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML solutions and their application to National Security missions.
  • Ability to identify key growth areas and develop new business aligned with the company's growth strategy.
  • Outstanding strategic, analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Decisive leader with the ability to make decisions independently, quickly, and with little supervision.
  • Strong experience leading a robust team, with members and partners spread across multiple locations and time zones.

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance (US citizenship required); Active DOW TS/SCI preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
