Simulator Technician I

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
• Perform preflight and postflight tasks on designated simulators.
• Perform basic visual alignments.
• Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
• Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
• Complete all designated training activities.
• Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Learn and comply with CAE's Quality Management System.
• Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
• Perform logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation.
• Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
• Perform all required administrative tasks.

• 2year technical degree or equivalent related training.
• 0-2 years of direct simulator experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
• Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
• Basic skills in operating test equipment.
• Basic soldering and circuitboard repair skills.
• Working knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools/suite.
• Strong motivation for customer support and attention to detail.

• Location: Primary work location is the Whippany, New Jersey Training Facility; minimal travel (<10%) may be required.
• Pay rate: $32.00 per hour; shift differential may apply depending on assignment. Compensation rate may vary based on experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
