Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds in Kissimmee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support site procedures, and provide strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, staff, and vendors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct individuals to appropriate screening and/or check-in processes in accordance with site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders, and maintaining post coverage as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in compliance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security Experience - 2+ Years is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
