As an Owned Social Strategist, you will be at the forefront of this mission, shaping the organic social marketing strategy for a pivotal new service designed to empower creators. Our client is seeking a visionary and dynamic social media expert to join their team. This role is crucial in bringing to life the organic social marketing strategy and program for a new subscription-based service that champions creators. You will be instrumental in defining how they connect with their audience, drive engagement, and build a vibrant community around our creative platform. This is an opportunity to lead, innovate, and collaborate across various teams, ensuring their social presence is not just current, but uniquely ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop cutting-edge social-first strategies, concepts, campaigns, and programs for our dynamic offerings, with a focus on our new creative platform.
  • Lead comprehensive social briefings for campaigns, new formats, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate extensively with multiple cross-functional teams to plan and execute integrated social campaigns and projects.
  • Champion and evangelize social best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert perspective on best-in-class social trends, ideas, and strategies for key marketing moments.
  • Offer hands-on support for programming and publishing across owned social channels as needed.
  • Manage key agency relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and execution.
  • Be available for on-call support during nights and weekends as required.


Required Skills & Experience:



  • 5+ years of proven experience in digital and social marketing within the social media landscape.
  • 3+ years managing agencies and external vendors.
  • Direct experience collaborating with creators, artists, and other external partners on social marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a brand's social strategy heavily reliant on user-generated creative content.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data to inform strategic decisions, including audience insights, platform trends, content performance benchmarks, and social listening.
  • Experience thriving in a multifaceted and fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work nimbly and confidently navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation capabilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with high-profile talent on high-stakes projects.
  • Proven track record of building engaged social media communities, including case studies of active participation, moderation, and social sharing.
  • Experience working with or managing relationships with external social creative agencies.

  • Experience managing social media channels for creative tools or working with creators in audio and video verticals, coupled with a deep understanding of the creator economy.
  • A futuristic and creative problem-solver, consistently ensuring strategies are uniquely ahead of the curve to cement leadership in innovative social media storytelling.
