*Description*
This Project Manager will facilitate the planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to contract development, subcontractor management, and portfolio growth within the Business Solutions Group. This position is onsite 1 day per month in Okemos, MI but must be a resident of Michigan. This role oversees the many projects within the program through the entire project management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with program goals, compliance requirements, and client needs. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, the ability to coordinate complex workstreams, and a strategic mindset that supports operation efficiency and sustainable program growth. Education: A bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field required. Experience: 5 years' experience as a project manager over large complex projects. Certified Project Management Professional. Beneficial experience would encompass: *Healthcare sector expertise *Extensive background in working with subcontractors *Familiarity with cost reimbursement processes *Experience handling state contracts, including egrams and managing amendment cycles This PM will need to manage the above tasks which include writing RFP's, working with vendors, managing contracts, manaing budgets for the grants, project scope, etc. Duties and Responsibilities: *Lead project planning, timelines, and resources for program portfolio activities. *Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure the program meets our contractual obligations. *Strong management and collaboration with subcontractors *Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies across the project and program portfolio. *Develop and maintain project dashboards, progress reports, and communication plans. *Oversee the full contract lifecycle as a structured project process-including drafting, competitive/noncompetitive procurements, negotiations, routing, and finalization. *Track portfolio-level milestones, deliverables, and financial projections. *Ensure contract projects remain aligned with compliance, privacy, budget, and program goals. *Serve as project coordinator for subcontractor related workstreams. *Monitor vendor performance through structured review processes and ensure deliverables remain on schedule. *Facilitate project-based issue tracking and resolution among vendors, clients, and internal teams. *Ensure project work aligns with HIPAA, IRB, state and federal funding requirements, and organizational policies. *Maintain version control, documentation standards, and audit readiness across program projects. *Collaborate with Legal/Compliance to align agreements with regulatory and privacy expectations. *Identify new business opportunities through portfolio analysis and strategic project planning. *Support proposal development, scoping, and stakeholder presentations. *Build relationships that support portfolio growth and long-term client engagement. *Create new business by identifying, assessing, and pursuing new business opportunities that align with BSG goals and objectives. *Create and conduct presentations as needed to audiences that may include clients, external and internal partners, conference attendees, public health professionals, business associates, and other audiences as assigned. *Facilitate meetings *Build strong relationships with current clients and partners and identify other potential areas of partnership and project growth. *All other duties as assigned. *Support continuous quality improvement across the program. *Lead budgeting and forecasting. *Establish and maintain positive, strong, credible, professional and interpersonal relationships with all parties relevant to MPHI projects. *All other duties as assigned Important Skills and Characteristics: *Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi phase projects with diverse stakeholders. *Experience with drafting/negotiating SOWs and BAAs and managing amendments *Working knowledge of HIPAA and IRB processes; familiarity with state and federal funding requirements and procurement practices (including competitive and noncompetitive processes). *Considerable independent judgment. *High level of initiative and accountability. *Ability to work well in team situations. *High level of self-motivation. *Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, invoice validation, risk identification and portfolio financial tracking. *Excellent time management, organization, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. *Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planner, or similar), collaboration suites (e.g., Microsoft 365), and spreadsheet analysis. *Proven ability to interpret and operationalize contract terms and SOWs. *Track record of contributing to business development, proposals, and presentations. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Okemos, MI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
