Title: Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) - Perioperative Services / Operating Room

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90012

Shift: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week

Schedule: Monday - Friday (No weekends or holidays)

Duration: 16-week assignment (Long term Contract)


Position Overview:

  • The client is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) with 5-7 years of managerial experience in the Operating Room (OR) and perioperative setting.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage perioperative nursing staff and oversee daily OR operations
  • Supervise surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety standards
  • Coordinate patient flow in the OR, PACU, and Same Day Surgery units
  • Support scheduling and resource management for multiple surgical specialties
  • Mentor and evaluate nursing staff, providing leadership and guidance
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Adapt to changing OR demands and provide support for complex procedures


Required Experience:

  • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
  • Same Day Surgery
  • Central Processing Services
  • Surgery Scheduling


The CNM will oversee operations across multiple surgical specialties, including:

  • Orthopedics
  • Robotics
  • Ophthalmology
  • ENT
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Urology
  • Vascular
  • Podiatry
  • Thoracic
  • General Surgery


Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience circulating and assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and OR protocols
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and provide support during complex and routine procedures
  • Adaptable, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow in the operating room


Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • MAB or CPI certification
  • LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City)
  • Completion of LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to assignment
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of OR management experience in perioperative services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and protocols across
