The Logistic Intern will support the wider Global Distribution Operations team based in Hazelwood, MO. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of pharmaceutical distribution, including: Logistics, Transportation, 3PL Management, Trade Compliance, & Business Systems. This exposure will also provide context into the overall pharmaceutical production process from raw material to patient.

Essential Functions

• Ensuring Good Distribution Practices are followed across the GDO value chain

• Development of shipment tenders, carrier identification, and commercial invoices

• Logistics network reviews & software training

• Manage international shipments & customs release

• Partner with Third Party Logistics (3PL) managers

• Develop an understanding of inter-/intra-company ERP transactions

• Management of special projects as required

• Vendor Management

• Freight Payment Services

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education

• Completed courses in Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, or Supply Chain preferred

• Hands-on experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

• The Logistics Intern will report to the Sr. Director, Global Distribution Operations, and will partner with a variety of experienced functional managers throughout the internship period.

Working Conditions: hybrid role; 3 days/week onsite
