Compensation: $28.21 - $35.89 / hour based on skills and experience.

Position Summary

The Clinical Support Coordinator, provides advanced administrative and operational coordination for clinical education activities within the College of Nursing. This position primarily supports the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program - including its multi-site clinical partnerships - while providing designated clinical operations support to the Master's Entry into Nursing Practice (MENP) program.

Reporting administratively to the AGACNP Program Chair and maintaining a functional reporting relationship with the MENP Program Chair, the Coordinator oversees clinical rotation logistics, onboarding processes, compliance tracking, and student-facing communication across both programs.

In alignment with the AGACNP program's growth trajectory, the Coordinator provides operational and strategic support for clinical operations initiatives, actively participates in partnership engagement efforts, and coordinates multi-site program activities that enhance clinical capacity and student placement outcomes.

The Coordinator supports the efficient execution of clinical education by maintaining organized documentation aligned with accreditation and regulatory standards, tracking affiliation agreements and site requirements, assisting with preceptor coordination, and maintaining key clinical education systems and databases.

This full-time (37.5 hours per week) position is designed to support program growth, operational consistency, and student readiness for clinical practice through proactive coordination and attention to detail. The schedule aligns with the academic calendar; flexibility is required during onboarding cycles, immersion activities, and peak scheduling periods

The Master's Entry into Nursing Practice (MENP) program prepares students from diverse academic backgrounds to enter the nursing profession, while the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) accelerated program prepares graduates for an in-demand nurse practitioner role in adult acute care settings.

The AGACNP accelerated program is a recent addition to the College of Nursing, preparing graduates for an in-demand nurse practitioner role in adult acute care settings. As the program continues to expand clinical partnerships and multi-site placement opportunities, strong operational coordination is essential to maintaining excellence in student experience, regulatory compliance, and clinical engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Student Communication & Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for AGACNP and MENP students regarding clinical schedules, onboarding requirements, and compliance deadlines.
  • Communicate clinical schedule changes, site updates, and faculty changes clearly and in a timely manner.
  • Draft and distribute standardized communications related to clinical education processes.
  • Respond to student inquiries and escalate concerns appropriately.

Partnership & Clinical Growth Support (AGACNP)

  • Provide structured coordination of clinical partnership engagement initiatives.
  • Support tracking and organization of clinical expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure operational readiness for new clinical sites.
  • Prepare briefing materials and documentation to support partnership discussions.

Clinical Scheduling & Operations Coordination

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of clinical schedules across programs.
  • Monitor clinical assignments and flag gaps, conflicts, or compliance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate clinical rosters, placement records, and related documentation.

Clinical Onboarding & Compliance Coordination

  • Coordinate student onboarding requirements in collaboration with internal offices.
  • Track compliance requirements including immunizations, background checks, and licensure.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding and compliance records.

Administrative, Systems & Cross-Program Support

  • Provide administrative support for cross-program clinical initiatives.
  • Maintain databases, tracking tools, and organized documentation systems related to clinical placements and compliance.
  • Assist with audits of student clinical records.
  • Identify workflow challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with development of templates and tracking systems to support program growth and operational consistency.

Required Education & Experience (Minimum)
  • Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in clinical education administration, healthcare program operations, academic program coordination, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting compliance management, clinical partnership coordination, and process improvement within a healthcare or higher education setting.
  • Experience managing multi-site documentation, regulatory requirements, and accreditation-related processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional judgment and discretion.
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field) may be considered, but is not required.
  • Strongly preferred: relevant experience in higher education, healthcare administration, or academic program support.
  • Experience supporting graduate-level healthcare education programs, nursing programs, or other clinically based academic programs.
  • Proficiency with systems and platforms used in academic and clinical operations (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Pro, learning management systems, and compliance/documentation tracking systems).
