As an Allied Universal Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support day-to-day security-related operations by monitoring assigned areas, completing routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and screening people and items moving through the facility. You will deliver courteous customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at entry points by verifying identification, confirming access authorization, and directing arrivals to the appropriate check-in and/or staging areas.
• Inspect and screen parcels, packages, and shipments as required, using approved screening methods and documenting exceptions per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspected policy violations, and medical and/or fire events through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas, trailer yards, and building access points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
