Job Description




Please read all detail prior to applying. This position is located on the Island of Kaua'i (STATE OF HAWAI'I).

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the overall mission of the location. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

    Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID offic

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate screening and/or administrative points in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
