What You Will Do:

As a Construction Materials Project Manager, you will oversee a variety of construction materials testing and special inspection projects, ensuring high-quality service delivery, technical excellence, and strong client communication. You'll collaborate closely with field staff, engineers, and clients to manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while supporting the continued growth of our Raleigh office.



  • Project Management: Lead and manage construction materials testing and special inspection projects including proposal, budget, schedules and resources through invoicing and closeout, ensuring quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication, technical expertise, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Technical Oversight: Review field and laboratory data, prepare and review reports, and provide guidance to technicians and inspectors to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Proposals & Cost Estimating - Generate and review field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in accordance with project plans, International Building Code (IBC) requirements, and client requests for proposals.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or a similar engineering field
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in construction materials testing and/or special inspections
  • Certifications/Professional Licensure: EIT required; PE preferred (or ability to obtain in the future).
  • Key Competencies:

    • Strong communication and client-service skills
    • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents
    • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating field teams
    • Familiarity with construction materials testing standards (ASTM, ACI, ICC, etc.)
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to travel to project sites and collaborate in the field
