Work Schedule:

100% FTE, 40 hrs./week, Day shift. You may be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). Monday - Friday day shift with variable start times. At University Hospital: Saturday and Sunday shifts 8:00AM - 4:30PM on a reasonable rotational basis. One hour call response time. Call is at UWH only in rotation with other sonographers. The team supports coverage across the Madison area.

Pay:



  • Qualified applicants may be eligible for up to a $10,000.00 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants


Additional components of compensation may include:



  • Weekend shift differential
  • Overtime
  • On-call pay

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer to:



  • Become a member of a dynamic team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
  • Experience the opportunity to work in an environment that utilizes cutting edge technology and procedures. The team supp orts a robust structural heart program.
  • The procedures include; transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
  • Work with other teams of health care professionals to provide a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.
  • Join our Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging.
  • Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area

Education:

Minimum - Graduate of an ultrasonography program

Preferred -



  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasonography training program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or a relevant health sciences field


Work Experience:

Minimum - No related work experience required.

Preferred - 2 years of cardiovascular imaging experience

Certifications:

Minimum -



  • Registered in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (RCS, RDCS, RVT or RVS upon hire required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR upon hire required
