HDR is currently seeking a Mechanical Team Lead in the Milwaukee, WI office .

The Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides industry leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and government project types. Projects are a balance of local as well as across the region and the globe. With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Healthcare, Datacenters, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Federal facilities; we provide engineering excellence for our clients.

Mechanical Team Lead Primary Responsibilities

In the role of the Mechanical Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist the Mechanical Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class by providing team leadership, with a focus on technical excellence, quality, mentoring, and staff development, of a team of mechanical engineers, EITs and designers with varying degree of experience.
• Assist the Mechanical Business Class Lead in the recruitment and growth of the business class.
• Work as a collaborative team with fellow Mechanical Team Leads and the Mechanical Business Class Lead for work staffing and project proposals.
• Function as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.
• Establish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to mechanical systems.
• Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule.
• Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
• Perform other duties as needed.
