Temporary Event Staff - Alumni Operations

The Alumni Operations department at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Parking Attendant. This position will assist in the operation of the Erickson Alumni Center (EAC) during WVU game days, WVU events and events held at the EAC.

What You'll Do

• Serves as a focus point answering a wide range of questions pertaining to event parking at the EAC. Assist students, employees, and visitors with information concerning parking.
• Provides information to visitors, staff, faculty, and students concerning parking rules and regulations, safety, and security practices.
• Counts money collected during shift and completes cashier report.
• Inspects assigned area for safety hazards including trash and broken glass. Sweeps and cleans, as necessary. Reports security violations and safety hazards to supervisors for additional corrective action.
• Provides information to visitors, staff, faculty, and students about safe parking and security practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to help keep the EAC running smoothly during events.

Pay Grade: 11
Length of Assignment: 8.5 Month
Work Hours: 20 Hours per week

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience involving:
  • Customer service
  • Cash handling preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
