Salary Range: US $60,800-73,000

6 Months Temprory Role

Buyer, Indirect Spend

In this role you will be responsible for providing support to internal stakeholders to prepare Purchase Orders from submitted Purchase Requisitions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

* Review and process purchase requests to execute goods & service commitments for key regions and business stakeholders.

* Manage day-to-day supplier inquiries and relationship activities related to purchasing activities

* Ensure all purchase orders fall within corporate policy guidelines and meet the right working instructions.

* Be the primary contact for all purchase order issues, including coordinating with appropriate stakeholders

* Liaise with accounts payable and internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve invoice issues

* Drive proper buying behavior with stakeholders to use approved suppliers and pricing where applicable and governed by the GSM or RSM

* Escalate supplier issues to appropriate sourcing manager

* Support and Identify opportunities for cost reductions to the GSM or RSM

* Provide backup to the Buyer team as required

* Drive continuous improvement for the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Post secondary education

* 2-4 years of purchasing experience

* General knowledge with confidentiality and supplier agreements

* Proficient in computer applications (ERP, MS office, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Able to conduct simple data analytics

* Work in a fast-paced environment

* Effective time management and organizational skills to help meet tight timeline activities.

* Strategic thinker who is able to contribute to the overall operational efficiencies

* Good communication skills and ability to tailor communications to stakeholders effectively.

* Experience working in a team-oriented, global environment.
