About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to serve as a key member of the corporate finance leadership team. This role provides strategic leadership for the company's global accounting infrastructure, including financial close, accounting policy, and internal control governance across domestic and international operations.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening the company's financial infrastructure while helping guide ERP transformation, global process standardization, and finance modernization initiatives. This position operates with significant visibility across the finance organization and partners closely with the Controller, CFO, and senior leadership team to support enterprise financial strategy and decision making.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the global general ledger function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial results across all domestic and international entities.
  • Maintain strong balance sheet governance, including reconciliation standards and consistent accounting practices across subsidiaries and regions.
  • Own and maintain the company's global accounting policy framework, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP and providing guidance on complex technical accounting matters.
  • Partner with the Financial Reporting team to support public-company reporting requirements and related disclosures.
  • Strengthen the organization's internal control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX and internal audit standards.
  • Provide senior leadership in the company's ERP transformation, helping design scalable accounting processes, chart-of-accounts structures, and financial system architecture.
  • Drive global process standardization and operational efficiency, including opportunities to centralize and streamline accounting activities across geographies.
  • Provide governance and oversight of key financial platforms and accounting technologies, including ERP systems and reconciliation tools such as BlackLine.
  • Lead and develop a global, multi-layered accounting organization, building leadership capability across teams and strengthening the long-term finance leadership pipeline.
  • Partner closely with the Controller, CFO, IT, Sales, and other business leaders to support strategic financial initiatives and enterprise decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including significant responsibility within corporate accounting or controllership functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global accounting operations, including consolidation and enterprise-wide close processes.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance, ideally within a publicly traded company environment.
  • Experience leading multi-country accounting teams and managing complex external audit relationships.
  • Proven leadership in ERP implementations, financial systems modernization, or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in financial systems, automation, and process optimization, including ERP platforms and reconciliation tools such as BlackLine.
  • Experience operating across multiple international entities, currencies, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking, executive communication, and change leadership capability.
