Job Description




As a Security Officer - Property Patrol PT in Sanford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access procedures and security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, offices, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and deliveries, verifying identification and visitor logs, and directing traffic and/or parking as needed based on location procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating site emergency response steps and requesting assistance when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
