Job Overview

This position is responsible for the daily operation and workflow of one or more of the advanced modality areas within Radiology.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence clinical practice, guide a high-performing team, and contribute to the advancement of imaging services within a leading pediatric hospital. The supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for advanced imaging services at the South Campus hospital in Highlands Ranch and two Network of Care imaging locations.

This role oversees approximately 20 team members and is responsible for daily operations, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards for patient care and image quality across all locations. The supervisor partners closely with radiologists and modality supervisors to ensure safe, efficient workflows and consistent imaging practices across the network.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in X-ray with experience in other advanced imaging modalities, such as MR and CT. This individual is a collaborative leader who is committed to strengthening team engagement and advancing pediatric imaging services across multiple sites.

Additional Information
Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, work hours may vary based on the needs of the department. Holidays may be required as part of a leadership call rotation.

Eligible Incentives: Relocation assistance available to qualified external applicants.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implements annual work plans to achieve goals and performance metrics.

  • Participates in leadership activities for department, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives; evaluates team performance. Defines and maintains internal processes for section; supports customer service standards and handles operational and customer service escalations for section. Serves as a champion of organization culture, influencing culture change to support section objectives.

  • Manages communications to the organization on projects and hot topics related to section. Maintains effective working relationships with peers in section, peers in other divisions, and senior leadership.

  • Directs day to day technical duties for department. Assigns and reviews work, provides work instruction (OTJ or formal training) and develops team members. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues; hires and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs.

  • Participates in developing budget recommendations and in monitoring budget.

  • Works on complex projects; performs project management activities. Provides technical expertise on programs, processes, and best practices.

  • Ensures compliance against federal, state, and local regulations for section.

  • Actively participates in the development and monitoring of compliance with all regulatory agencies and federally funded programs, productivity analysis, quality/performance improvement and patient/employee safety.

  • Provides high quality patient care through the use of effective communication that explains the exam and ensures patient comfort and safety and independently produces high quality images.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education- Bachelor's Degree and completion of an accredited radiography program

  • Equivalency - Experience will substitute for education on a year for year basis

  • Experience - Four (4) years of advanced modality experience

    • Previous leadership strongly experience preferred

  • Certification - BLS/CPR, ARRT Registered in CT, MR, and/or IR

    • Preference will be given to those applicants with their CT and/or MRI certifications.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $90,900.58 to $136,350.88
