The Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant I to join a dynamic research team advancing innovative immunotherapy approaches for meningioma and glioblastoma. In this role, you will support both laboratory and clinical research activities, including processing and cataloging biological samples, maintaining detailed laboratory and experimental records, and coordinating the retrieval, transport, and shipment of specimens. Responsibilities include performing key laboratory techniques such as sterile cell culture, peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) isolation, cytotoxicity analysis, and flow cytometry, as well as assisting with rodent handling, animal procedures, and welfare monitoring. You will also contribute to the efficient operation of the laboratory through equipment and inventory management, autoclaving, waste disposal, and adherence to institutional safety standards, while supporting clinical research activities such as medical record review and database management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful translational research, learn emerging laboratory techniques, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary research team. *This is a limited role which may convert to career* Hourly range: $25.75-$30.17 Qualifications
