Title: Mechanic
Salary Range: $30.00 Status: Non-Exempt Days/Shifts: 2nd Shift, Monday - Sunday Location: Salinas, CA Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor ______________________________________________________________________ GENERAL DISCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: Work with processing equipment, dryers, conveyors, and water chillers. Rebuild food machinery such as dewatering shakers and dry shakers. Replace seals on water pumps. Repair conveyor belts. Repair lacings on belts, belt tracking, change bearings. Maintain air-compressor, air-dryer. Maintain chilled water temperatures. Help change water in tanks as required by QA or production personnel. Safeguard manufacturing equipment to maintain operating efficiencies and ensure maximum production capability. preventative maintenance. Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment. Maintain a daily record of time and parts involved with assignments. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
