Summary: This position is responsible for engagement of C-suite public sector agency decision makers, designing and architecting innovative cloud solutions and building trust with key customer stakeholders. Role will provide guidance and advisory oversight of customer engagements across various markets and accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Role will architect and design cloud solutions with key customer technical decision makers. This role will assist in providing oversight and planning for successful Delivery Services on behalf of customers' cloud solutions, services and workloads.
- Partner with Field Sales and Business Development to lead technical discovery, architect, and winning solutions and own the technical close across a portfolio of cloud opportunities.
- Membership in industry associations and portfolio of technical publications, talks, or thought leadership
- Contribute to growth in targeted accounts
- Certifications in Cloud Expertise centered on Amazon Web Services (transferable certification required at the Professional Architect or Specialty level)
- Ideal candidate would have experience presenting AWS Optimization & Licensing Assessments as well as Migration Acceleration Program.
- Technical strengths in multiple domains including ML/AI Systems, cloud-native architecture (Kubernetes, microservices, serverless), DevOps/SRE practices.
- Engage with Customers to facilitate Optimization, migration and adoption of cloud solutions and technologies with focus on proper utilization of best practices in the design and architecture of secure cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Networking and design best practices for Cloud and WAN.
- Strengths in presenting and subject matter expert engaged in periodic speaking engagements as needed.
- Experience designing and architecting solutions using the methodology of well architected framework (WAF) which will provide confidence during Cloud Delivery services.
- Responsible for providing customer demonstrations and webinar presentations promoting Cloud solutions.
- Candidate will acknowledge and participate in annual ethics training provided by Four Points.
- Candidate will review, acknowledge, and participate in any US government and regulatory security training periodically as required in their role.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Industry certifications on cloud and virtualization technologies.
- Previous background in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking and/or data analytics preferred.
- Ability to travel and visit with customers - 20-30% CONUS travel expected
- Must be able to go through Federal Government background checks
- Must be a self-starter requiring minimal day to day oversight.
- Must be able to independently identify issues and problems and provide recommended solutions to overcome those problems.
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA Degree in related field plus 10 years of experience and/or training, OR
- Associate Degree and 12+ years of experience and/or training, OR
- 15+ years of experience and/or training, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
- Must have at least one (1) transferable AWS Professional or Specialty certification and desire Azure certifications.
