About The Position The Business Development Executive is responsible for creating and sustaining Ameren revenue by engaging the highest level of personnel at large Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customer accounts to communicate Ameren competitive business advantages; facilitate the negotiation of Ameren energy and service agreements; support customer energy and technology solutions; implement proactive community and business development strategies in partnership with local/regional/state development agencies; support service area investment/job creation and public policy implementation; and help foster positive community stewardship on behalf of Ameren's family of companies. Key responsibilities include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree in business, urban planning, real estate, public administration, finance or marketing preferred. Two or more years of professional level experience is required, preferably in marketing and/or business development activities. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Knowledge of economic and community development processes (preferred). Proven communication skills (written, oral and digital) to explain complex issues in easy-to-understand manner for diverse audiences. Technical skills with software tools applied to business development processes. Certifications from recognized industry organizations (i.e. planning, economic development, project management professional, real estate, etc.) preferred. Additional InformationAmeren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Career Level depends on applicant credentials. Compensation Range: $71,100.00 - $137,200.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
