About the Role

Hyland is looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Account Manager to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers and partners, with a clear focus on consistently meeting or exceeding your assigned sales goals. Your Role Responsibilities - Here's What You'll Do
  • Develop a sales plan to meet or exceed quota for assigned existing and potential customers or partners, accurately representing and communicating sales forecasting on a real-time basis.
  • Initiate and maintain regular contact with customers to develop and strengthen business relationships, leveraging marketing campaigns to generate leads and advance opportunities.
  • Respond to non-technical customer inquiries - including module information, pricing, maintenance, and billing questions - while working with team members to ensure timely and proper resolution of escalated issues.
  • Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, meaningful conversations, and sales calls, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records at all times.
  • Engage company specialist and support resources as needed to advance opportunities and attend customer and industry events to represent Hyland and strengthen partnerships.
  • Grow knowledge of best practices and market trends while developing a deeper understanding of customers' business and technical needs to better serve and retain accounts.
Role Essentials - What You Bring
  • Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
  • Experience in sales with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and achieve consensus across multiple departments and leadership levels.
  • Proficiency in opportunity management and account planning tools, with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills that reflect a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  • Up to 5% travel time required.
What We'd Like to See - Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM or equivalent platforms, with the ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity and account records consistently.
  • Familiarity with marketing campaigns and lead generation strategies to identify, nurture, and advance sales opportunities across assigned accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and retain accounts by developing a deep understanding of customers' evolving business and technical needs.
  • Experience representing a company at customer events, trade shows, or industry conferences to strengthen relationships and expand partnerships.
  • Self-motivated with a growth mindset and a drive to stay current on market trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities within the enterprise software space.
