ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB has an opening for an Environmental Scientist to join our Site Investigation and Remediation practice. Responsibilities

    Support with Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Projects
  • Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memorandaProvide hands-on support during field exploration and testing
  • Interpret and communicate investigation findings
  • Leverage technology to support data management and visualization
  • Participate in environmental due diligence activities

Skills and Attributes

  • Work in field and office settings
  • Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Experience with ASTM Site Assessments, Brownfield Investigations, and Remediation in accordance with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field (Master's a plus).
  • 0-1 year of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience required
  • OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required after 30 days of employment

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Connecticut is $62,000-67,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
