  • Lead global freight procurement strategy, including carrier sourcing, RFP execution, rate negotiations, contract structuring, and award governance across all modes.
  • Own carrier commercial performance, ensuring rate adherence, contractual compliance, surcharge governance, and identification of cost-leakage.
  • Leverage market intelligence, benchmarking, and volume leverage to optimize rate structures and carrier strategies.
  • Establish and enforce freight procurement policies, preferred carrier strategies, and routing guide compliance.
  • Partner with Finance and freight audit provider to ensure accurate invoicing, dispute resolution, and recovery of noncompliant charges.

Operational & Network Leadership

  • Monitor carrier performance against contractual SLAs and commercial commitments; lead corrective actions and escalation for noncompliance.
  • Drive accountability through structured carrier performance reviews, scorecards, and corrective action plans tied to contractual obligations.
  • Design and maintain routing logic, carrier assignments, and rate structures within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Lead network optimization initiatives, including lane rationalization, mode optimization, consolidation strategies, and capacity planning.
  • Resolve critical and distressed transportation issues, balancing service recovery with cost and contractual considerations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through industry best practices, automation, and performancebased carrier management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop transportation and logistics team members; build a scalable organization aligned to Lam's growth trajectory.
Who we're looking for

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global transportation and logistics, with scope spanning strategy, execution, and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and optimize a global transportation function, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational excellence.
  • Proven leadership of freight procurement and carrier sourcing, including RFP execution, rate negotiations, contract development, and award governance across multiple modes.
  • Clear record of delivering measurable transportation cost savings and productivity improvements aligned to annual operating plans.
  • Demonstrated ownership of carrier contract compliance, including rate governance, surcharge discipline, invoice accuracy, and cost leakage prevention.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and acting on transportation KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
  • Transportation Management Systems (TMS) experience preferred.
  • Proven people leader, capable of building, coaching, and scaling teams to meet changing business needs.
