Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Administrator Specialist for Scarlet Arts Rx. Scarlet Arts Rx is an arts and wellness initiative providing free arts experiences to the New Brunswick Campus through the Arts in Health Initiative at Mason Gross School of the Arts. Reporting to the Arts in Health (
AIH) Endowed Chair at Mason Gross School of the Arts (
MGSA), the Program Manager will provide comprehensive oversight to the ongoing arts prescribing program at Rutgers-New Brunswick.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Develop, plan, and implement events and activities for Scarlet Arts Rx; scout locations for event reservations and public art displays.
- Collaborate with AIH Endowed Chair to set the schedule for the semester.
- Manage supplies for events: unpack, sort, and track arts supplies, prepare and/or deliver carts of materials to various campus locations.
- Assist with in-person implementation or co-implementation of events and activities during daytime, evening, and/or weekends.
- Act as a last-minute, on-call substitute for teaching artists who are unable to attend the event.
- Attend regular meetings with the AIH Endowed Chair.
- Create Canva flyers and post to social media and other platforms, including and not limited to, Instagram, get Involved, wellness calendar, list serves; edit and issue weekly Scoop! News zine.
- Update sign-ups and maintain Scarlet Arts Rx lists accurately.
- Manage event promotions, including printing and disseminating event flyers across campus, attending meetings across campus, and tabling at students' events during daytime, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Oversee event data collection conducted by student teaching artists; collect qualitative data at events, including and not limited to, student testimonials.
- Analyze program evaluation data and provide feedback to the student teaching artists accurately.
- Write and deliver impact reports at the end of the fall and spring semesters, or as requested by AIH Endowed Chair effectively.
- Hire, oversee, and supervise student teaching artists and lesson plan developer.
- Gather Scarlet Arts Rx student teaching artists for periodic team bonding and educational, professional development events.
- Track and manage budgets and funding allocated for personnel, procurements, reimbursements, and all other Scarlet Arts Rx related expenses.
- Work closely with MGSA Business Office.
- Provide regular budget reports to the AIH Endowed Chair.
- Arise to other duties as assigned.
- Assist with other administrative and organizational tasks for MGSA Arts in Health as needed.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced deadline driven environment, plan and lead projects, and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication, sound judgement, and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Computer literacy in Qualtrics, Canvas, Canva, Microsoft Suites, and willingness to learn new programs and software to ensure the efficiency of this position's productivity.
