Job Summary

As a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by ensuring that all products consistently meet stringent internal standards as well as customer expectations. Your expertise in conducting thorough inspections and audits will help maintain product integrity and drive continuous improvement. This role requires a detail-oriented approach to verify compliance throughout the production cycle and contribute to corrective action initiatives that uphold quality excellence.

Primary Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections on manufactured products at various production stages to ensure conformity with customer requirements, engineering drawings, and internal quality standards.
  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, in-process checks, final product verification, and outgoing shipments to guarantee product quality at each step.
  • Review and validate production traveler documents, quality records, and inspection reports to ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation.
  • Execute layered process audits and material compliance checks, identifying potential areas for quality improvements and reducing defects.
  • Facilitate the maintenance, certification, and calibration of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring accurate measurement and traceability.
  • Lead or collaborate in nonconformance investigations, containment actions, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Analyze warranty returns and customer claims by performing detailed inspections to identify failure trends and contribute to corrective strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for poka-yoke (error-proofing) solutions to prevent defects and improve manufacturing process reliability.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing quality data, insights, and recommendations that drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Participate actively in quality training sessions and share best practices to promote a culture of quality awareness across departments.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
    * A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in quality inspection, manufacturing operations, or related quality assurance environments.
    * Proven ability to effectively inspect and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
    * Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
    * Competency in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    * An Associate degree or diploma in a technical field related to manufacturing, quality control, or engineering.
    * Experience working with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and familiarity with product qualification testing methods.
    * Prior involvement in automotive manufacturing or component quality assurance is advantageous.
    * Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and familiarity with root cause analysis techniques.
    * Ability to adapt to dynamic manufacturing environments with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Education / Experience

  • Candidates should ideally have completed a one-year certificate or diploma program from a recognized college or technical institution focusing on quality control, inspection, or equivalent technical disciplines.
  • Alternatively, practical experience ranging from 3 to 6 months in quality inspection or manufacturing settings will be taken into consideration for candidates demonstrating applicable skills.
  • We also consider equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and professional experience which combine to ensure sufficient competency and readiness to perform in this role effectively.

The US base rate for this full-time position is . The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
