Grunley is looking for a personable, proactive, solutions-oriented Front Desk Assistant that will play a vital role and serve as the company's first point of contact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and the general public and as such provides a critical public relations service. The Front Desk Assistant is responsible for answering all incoming phone calls, referring to inquiries, greeting visitors, receiving, and dispatching parcels and providing general clerical support. This position regularly exercises independent judgment within defined administrative and security protocols. The Front Desk Assistant sets the first and last impression of the company, building trust through consistent professionalism, anticipation of needs, and calm confidence under pressure.

This position reports to the Director of Administration.

The weekly work schedule will be from 7:45 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with an hour Lunch, a 15-minute morning break and a 15-minute afternoon break. Front Desk Assistant must provide advanced notice for any unforeseen absences and delays no later than 6:00 am the day of to plan for front desk coverage accordingly.

Required Experience:



  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Receptionist/Front Desk or customer service experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word), copiers and printers, and multi-line phone systems.



Required Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

Required Credentials:


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Experience:



  • Construction experience and/or working in a corporate environment is highly preferred.
