Job Summary:

This position supports Supernus' preclinical and drug discovery efforts in the department of Preclinical DMPK and Pharmacology. Responsible for all project management activities of the department including budgeting, planification, identification of new vendors, contractual agreement, and the execution of studies. This role supports all aspects of discovery DMPK and pharmacology studies, maintains records, summaries, and aggregated data for all preclinical DMPK and pharmacology studies improving the efficiency and productivity of the entire team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Support all aspects of discovery DMPK and pharmacology studies at CROs, including generation of study proposal, quotation, and purchase order, as well as sample shipping and invoice payment.
  • Manage operational activities of studies, keeping timeline, budget, and activities according to corporate timelines.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team on vendor verification, accruals, and budget reforecasting, streamlining the budget and invoice process for DMPK and pharmacology study vendors.
  • Assist in developing annual budget.
  • Work with Supernus legal counsel to execute MSAs, CDAs, consulting agreements, and software agreements for the department.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing regulatory documentation (e.g. IB and IND).
  • Work with Regulatory Affairs to facilitate a smooth regulatory submission process of all required preclinical documents and thoroughly review pharmacokinetics and pharmacology documents to ensure the accuracy of all study reports and references provided.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ plus years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of drug discovery and development.
  • Experience of working with CRO's preferred.
  • Highly organized, a team player, enthusiastic about drug discovery and development process.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

You also will be able to participate in a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to: health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k company match, company paid life insurance and health and wellness benefits. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards, employee stock purchase programs and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
