Your role The Power Technique Service Division (PTS) is the aftermarket and service division within the Power Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. PTS provides a comprehensive range of aftermarket services focused on maximizing customer productivity, including the supply of spare parts and professional service for Power Technique equipment. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our PTS team supporting our NASA distribution sites. In this role, you will be responsible for driving supplier performance, optimizing working capital, and managing assigned commodities. You will collaborate closely with Product Companies, divisional teams, and suppliers to strengthen the supply chain and support new product introductions. Main responsibilities: Supply Chain & Supplier Management

  • Drive continuous reduction of working capital by collaborating with suppliers to shorten lead times, optimize lot sizes, and improve inbound delivery performance to Service Centers
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with AC Group corporate governance, environmental, and ethical standards.
  • Lead corrective-action follow-up for supplier quality issues.
  • Support localization initiatives within the NASA market.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Own and drive the assigned direct-purchasing commodities and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that meet company goals in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure PTS Sourcing Principles are consistently applied across all business areas.
  • Take ownership of all sourcing matters related to the distribution centers, with consideration of the total cost of ownership. This includes but it not limited to negotiating pricing, resourcing, improving supplier delivery performance, etc.
  • Find and vet new suppliers while also obtaining and maintaining good relationships with current suppliers.

Data, Communication & Coordination

  • Provide fast, accurate purchasing master data updates to distribution centers.
  • Maintain proactive, clear communication between suppliers and distribution centers.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Company Sourcing teams and distribution center teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Report monthly progress and achievements with quantified benefits and monitor your commodities KPI's.

Product Lifecycle & Spare Parts Support

  • Participate proactively in product phase-in/phase-out activities within the Product Company/Division.
  • Support the SPP (Spare Parts Proposal) process for the NASA market and ensure correct spare-parts setup for new machines in coordination with product and divisional teams.
  • Actively support Regional and Global Service Centers to maintain high availability of spare parts and consumables for customers worldwide.

  • Commercial and/or technical experience within a purchasing/service organization
  • Technical knowledge of construction equipment and/or business practices is a benefit
  • Good knowledge and understanding of business systems SAP, BPCS, etc. is a plus
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships, which includes relationship building, tracking performance and development
  • Experienced with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Passport required

Educational requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering or equivalent through experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times (occasionally).

Job location

This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Rock Hill SC, United States (US); however, frequent presence at the Service Center is required (Charlotte, NC, and Fort Mill/Indian Land, SC). Supplier visits are also required and may include some international travel.
