The Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting is an integral member of the Global Finance team that requires a dynamic action-oriented leader. Responsibilities require familiarity with various platforms: Consolidations and Planning (BPC, HANA/BI, and Tableau). The role will manage master and transactional data integrity, researching data issues back to the source, and system admin of BPC, which require knowledge of basic logic, security, and report writing in partnership with IT.

Responsibilities

  • Manage total oversight of New Era's BPC/Darwin System
  • Maintain all master data in alignment with BW/HANA, daily maintenance of transactional data in alignment with all modules of BPC, maintain security, have knowledge of and can write and edit script logic
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to proactively trace data issues to the source and identify gaps/opportunities for improvement within processes & applications
  • Manage and maintain all Planning and Forecasting templates and logic by soliciting and incorporating all regional requirements
  • Write and analyze reports out of both BPC/Darwin and Tableau to facilitate data integrity research
  • Write and maintain a report library used for Planning, Forecasting, and monthly analysis, utilizing BCP/Darwin, Tableau, and HANA/BW
  • Maintain and analyze data population to daily dashboards during planning and forecasting cycles for leadership review
  • Work with all regions and departments to populate planning and forecasting data back to multiple other platforms at proper level of detail
  • Maintain technical understanding of BPC platforms and assist with communications to IT on updates, break/fixes and overall maintenance
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Project Management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, identify gaps, decompose high-level information into details, and drive decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to implement new systems and tools.
  • Experience in using the Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly self-motivated, work ethic driven with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, often competing project workloads and activities between longer-term strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills through facilitation of critical meetings, documentation and presentations to management & stakeholders
  • Experience with working with large data sets and financial systems used for Planning/Forecasting

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field, preferably including coursework in information technology, financial systems or project management
  • Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of experience in accounting, finance and/or audit experience

  • The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY
  • 0% to 5%; domestic and/or global

The salary range for this posted position is $105,000 - $130,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
