Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Denver CARES - Detox Job SummaryThe Lead Custodian, under general supervision, may be assigned to any one of several positions to include: patient area cleaner, non-patient area cleaner, trash technician, special care unit cleaner, floor care, and/or others. Also assists in hands-on training of new staff and re-training of existing staff. Acts in a supervisory role in the absence of the supervisor or manager. Performs huddles in absence of supervisor or manager. Ensures coverage of staff assignments for the shift and may also carry department phone to dispatch service requests. Periodically monitors bed board to ensure patient throughput. This position may also perform other cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment throughout the hospital/clinics.
