Your Job

As a Process Engineer, you will support new and existing manufacturing processes that are essential to the growth and success of Molex. This role is primarily focused on screen printing of functional materials utilizing rolltoroll (R2R) and sheetbased manufacturing, while also contributing across other manufacturing areas as needed.

You will work independently and crossfunctionally to develop new processes, improve existing ones, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and help maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment. This role is wellsuited for someone with a growth mindset who is motivated to continuously improve, learn new skills, and selfactualize.

Our Team

The Process Development Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Integration Engineering (MIE) Manager, and is embedded in the MIE team. They will engage in regular collaboration with a diverse team including business development managers, applications engineers, design engineers, process engineers, and automation teams. Work is split between office and production floor settings. Occasional travel may be required for process transfer activities or coordination with external partners.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement manufacturing processes to support new product development, including material selection and evaluation
  • Enhance manufacturing capabilities to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Support and optimize existing manufacturing processes through troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous improvement
  • Investigate, evaluate, and recommend acquisition of new manufacturing equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and document manufacturing quality issues
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plans
  • Collaborate with technicians and operators to support equipment setup and provide training
  • Conduct process validation and equipment qualification
  • Collect manufacturing data and perform production yield and process performance analysis
  • Facilitate prototyping and experimentation while analyzing key process data
  • Support Six Sigma, ISO, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) management systems by following established policies and procedures

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related field)
  • Three (3) years or more experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role
  • Experience supporting production equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with rolltoroll or sheetbased material processing
  • Experience owning a process or product as part of regular job responsibilities
  • Experience implementing new manufacturing methods, including training others on execution
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, printed circuits, or rolltoroll manufacturing
  • Experience with material converting and/or product assembly
  • Experience writing technical reports related to root cause analysis, process qualification, or validation
  • Experience measuring and analyzing process outputs to evaluate effectiveness
  • Experience with data analysis tools
  • Experience performing RCAs, FMEAs, or similar structured problemsolving methodologies
  • Advanced coursework or handson experience related to printing, materials, or manufacturing processes

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
