Overview

Gilbane is seeking a OFCI Process Equipment Manager - Pharma to assist with the coordination of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed Electrical & Mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely communication, tracking and documentation throughout all project phases. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

Responsibilities

    Support the tracking and coordination of OFCI equipment throughout procurement, delivery and turnover
  • Communicate with owners, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure equipment readiness and delivery aligns with project needs
  • Maintain accurate logs, datasets and documentation for all OFCI items
  • Review equipment submittals and vendor documentation to confirm scope delineation and interface alignment between base-building systems and vendor-furnished equipment packages
  • Coordinate cross-trade execution (piping, electrical, I&C/automation, structural, clean utilities) to ensure equipment installation sequencing and access constraints are resolved.
  • Manage receiving, storage, and logistics for inbound OFCI equipment: coordinate inbound shipments with vendors/procurement, establish receipt/storage procedures, and maintain documentation
  • Assist with receipt, inspection, and onsite storage coordination of Electrical and Mechanical equipment
  • Support the field team to ensure handling and installation meet manufacturer requirements and project specifications
  • Identify and escalate issues related to delivery delays, damage, or installation conflicts
  • Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
  • Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Pharma cGMP facility design and/or construction experience
  • Equipment coordination experience specifically formulation skids, and filling and packaging lines
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience
  • Experience performing constructability reviews to plan for proper equipment handling on site
  • Field leadership skills; planning, coordinating, and execution; supporting daily field activities of trade contractors specific to equipment handling
  • OSHA 30-hour construction outreach certification is preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong technical and communication skills are critical
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of industry standard software, Microsoft Office (preferred)

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Illinois this ranges from $110,000-$165,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
