Role & Responsibilities:

Dassault Systemes is seeking a Services Software Consultant to join BIOVIA's Professional Services team, supporting customers engaged in scientific research and development. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, utilizing BIOVIA and Dassault Systemes software products to help customers gain valuable insights from their scientific data and maximize the value of their technology investments

In this role, you will work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA Engineers, scientists, analysts, and other customer stakeholders to understand laboratory processes, configure software solutions, and deliver successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a scientific background, experience in laboratory environments, and foundational software or technical skills, particularly within regulated industries.

Responsibilities:
Work with scientists, analysts, and other customer stakeholders to understand laboratory processes, workflows, and data requirements
Configure BIOVIA software modules to capture data related to materials, equipment, and processes used during the planning and execution of experiments
Develop and/or maintain software or integration applications according to functional specifications
Demonstrate configured solutions to customers and respond to feedback
Analyze, diagnose, and provide technical solutions to software product and configuration issues
Import customer data, test and reproduce customer issues as needed
Design or modify SQL queries, scripts, and other custom applications as required
Test solutions prior to delivery to ensure compliance with specifications, business rules, and customer requirements
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA Engineers, and other internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
Escalate more complex customer issues to appropriate senior personnel when needed
Apply technical skills to learn and use new in-house technologies for building and deploying customer solutions
Support integration efforts between laboratory equipment and computer systems where applicable
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and work collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment
Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
3+ years of experience in an R&D or QC laboratory, or as a consultant serving the life sciences industry
Experience in a programming or scripting language working with scientific data, such as Python, Perl, JavaScript, or a product-specific scripting tool
Experience working with lab informatics software
Experience connecting or integrating laboratory equipment with computer systems
Experience building simple to moderate SQL queries to access data in Oracle, SQL Server, or other database platforms is a plus
Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Familiarity with CSV (Computer Systems Validation) processes
Familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control tools such as Git, Perforce, or TFS preferred
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills while working with global teams on complex software, configurations, and integrations
Prior work experience in a laboratory environment or supporting scientific software is highly desired
Scientific background or familiarity with laboratory workflows and processes required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-functional team
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have a strong grasp of the English language and strong communication skills
Fast learner, highly motivated, and continually looking for ways to improve
