Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer II will lead and support the development, launch, and improvement of assembly processes, new machines, automation systems, and assembly cell designs with a focus on safety, quality, uptime, scrap reduction, and cost improvement. This role is responsible for troubleshooting process issues, improving process reliability, supporting equipment start-ups, managing process development projects, and partnering with Design, Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and Management to resolve problems and improve manufacturing capability. Responsibilities include applying statistical planning during assembly development, investigating design proposals, estimating production times and costs, supporting standardization and quality control, and using structured problem-solving methods such as the 10 Step Problem Solving Process and Root Cause Analysis. The Manufacturing Engineer II also develops new production processes, inspection plans, work instructions, and set-up standards while training operators and assemblers on process and machine operation.
