Position Summary:
The Center for Injury Biomechanics, Materials, and Medicine (CIBM3) invites applications for an immediate opening for a Visiting Undergraduate Student Researcher to support laboratory efforts toward research in blast-induced traumatic brain injury (bTBI). Essential Functions:
-Follow instruction by PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers to carry out benchtop laboratory work.
-Assist in carrying out animal behavior experiments and collecting behavioral data. Prerequisite Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
-1-3 years of relevant work experience
-The successful candidate should have experience with animal handling, collecting behavioral data, a basic understanding of biomedical engineering concepts and molecular biology.
-Problem-solving abilities and interest in interdisciplinary research.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate/range for this position is $15.92-$16.92 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items. FLSA:
