Job Tittle: Structural Engineering Professional Associate

Duration: 6 months

Shift: 8am - 6pm


Location :Tempe, AZ 85282 (Hybrid)(AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, UT)

Position Summary

As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will play a key role in the design team, contributing to structural analysis and design for various projects. You will collaborate closely with Structural Leads, Engineers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to develop design concepts, perform analysis, and ensure accurate implementation in design documents and models.


Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Analysis

  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design under general supervision
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and code requirements
  • Conduct lateral analysis (wind & seismic) in compliance with US building codes
  • Design and analyze steel and concrete structures


Project Execution & Ownership

  • Manage assigned workload and ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Take ownership of assigned structural scope and proactively define requirements
  • Identify scope changes and communicate with Structural Lead
  • Work efficiently with strong attention to detail and accuracy


Quality & Compliance

  • Perform self-checks and peer reviews of calculations
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards
  • Follow US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Communicate structural requirements effectively in drawings and models
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills


Leadership & Development

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
  • Support continuous improvement in workflows, tools, and systems
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)
  • Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng)
  • 4+ years of experience in structural engineering
  • Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC)
  • Experience with structural analysis tools, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • Experience in steel and concrete structural design
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Experience in semiconductor or industrial facilities
  • Experience leading small teams


Working Conditions & Requirements

  • Must be located in the USA Southwest Region (AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, UT)
  • Must have reliable home internet for remote work
  • No visa sponsorship available at this time
