Position Overview
Payroll Associate to join its HR Operations Payroll team. This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing within an in-house SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll execution, support vendor coordination, handle payroll inquiries, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can independently manage routine payroll activities, ensure compliance with internal controls, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Support and execute bi-weekly payroll processing in SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
- Review and validate payroll inputs including hires, terminations, salary changes, and adjustments
- Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within established deadlines
Vendor & Offshore Coordination
- Provide daily oversight and support to offshore payroll team (Accenture)
- Review deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with service standards
- Manage garnishment processing in coordination with third-party vendor (Strada)
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure SLA compliance
Employee Support & Case Management
- Respond to payroll inquiries through case management systems
- Partner with HR, Employee Relations, and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues
- Ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication with employees and stakeholders
Testing & Process Improvement
- Participate in payroll system testing (enhancements, updates, support packs)
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Collaborate with Payroll Tax and other HR teams as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or related function
- Familiarity with payroll systems (SAP ECP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
