Superintendent - Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Location: Las Vegas, NV | $7,000 Sign-on Bonus Sign-On Bonus This position includes a $7,000 sign-on bonus, paid in three installments over your first year of employment at the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month employment milestones. Each installment is contingent upon active employment and being in good standing with the company at the time of payment. Sign-on bonus payments are treated as taxable income and subject to applicable withholdings. Overtime is available. Full benefits available after 30 days of employment. Job Summary The Superintendent is the senior on-site leader on large-scale projects, responsible for ensuring all work is installed and maintained in accordance with company and customer requirements across safety, quality, and project management. Responsibilities Manage multiple project crews; own crew performance, training, and adherence to company and customer safety and quality standards; hold weekly safety meetings and implement corrective action in compliance with company policy Serve as the senior company liaison for on-site customer interface; attend facility and construction meetings as required; act as the primary point of contact for customer questions and concerns Ensure all project deadlines are met per customer requirements Manage workload distribution, staffing levels, and overall job completion including productivity, budget compliance, and project closeout Complete all IES and project paperwork accurately and on time including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and Job Closing Packages Perform quality checks, manage outage prevention, conduct job walks with the Project Manager, and prepare red-lined as-built drawings Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field Review and monitor operational processes for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency including estimating, purchasing, invoicing, warehousing, scheduling, and reporting Develop and implement process improvements to bring operations to effective levels Partner with the Training Department to monitor quality and safety issues; actively promote safety as the top priority Lead operations meetings and training sessions Manage tool and truck inventory and maintenance Perform other duties as assigned Min USD $35.00/Hr. Max USD $44.00/Hr. Qualifications Work Environment Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments. Must be able to work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. Qualifications Self-motivated, professional, and positive in approach Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to read, write, and present effectively Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents including quality and reporting requirements Ability to define a project, develop a scope of work, create estimates, build detailed task plans, and manage through to completion and customer turnover Ability to learn and teach company and customer project management systems Promotes company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners Education and Experience Minimum five years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and MS Project Must meet company minimum driving standards Required Tools Basic: Screwdriver (flathead and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips with belt sheath, needle nose and channel lock pliers, hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves Trade: Punch tool with 110 and 66 block blades, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX tool, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, and 5-gang punch Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
