Technician II - Structured Cabling | $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Location: Las Vegas, NV Sign-On Bonus This position includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus, paid in three installments over your first year of employment at the 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month employment milestones. Each installment is contingent upon active employment and being in good standing with the company at the time of payment. Sign-on bonus payments are treated as taxable income and subject to applicable withholdings. Overtime is available. Job Summary The Technician II must possess the ability to perform the technical responsibilities of a Cable Installer and function as a lead member of a technical team. The Technician II will coordinate small groups of installers in the performance of daily workload including adherence to Company safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall applications; terminate CAT 3 and CAT 5 jacks; mount faceplates and surface mount boxes; adhere to IES labeling standards Build and outfit closets including backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware, and equipment grounding; complete all IDC connections including 110/66 blocks and patch panels Perform testing including continuity testing of horizontal and riser cable, volt-ohmmeter use, tone set operation, and troubleshooting of opens, crosses, shorts, and transposed pairs Identify active voice and data circuits Lead crew performance, provide on-the-job training, and coordinate personnel and timelines to meet project milestones Complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers Adhere to and actively participate in all company, customer, and industry safety and quality standards Perform other duties as assigned Required Tools Screwdriver (flathead and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips with belt sheath, needle nose and channel lock pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves Punch tool with 110 and 66 block blades, to responsibilities as assigned. Min USD $25.00/Hr. Max USD $30.00/Hr. Qualifications Work Environment Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments, travel within branch or regional territory as needed, and work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, move up to 75 pounds, distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
