Overview
The EMS Office Manager provides operational direction and guidance to clerical support staff of the EMS Office. Their primary developmental functions involve energetically and dynamically supporting and coaching all clerical employees within their area. Under direction of the EMS Manager, this person is responsible for planning, controlling, monitoring, coordinating, and organizing the daily EMS office operations. The EMS Office Manager must also provide appropriate supervision to their employees through effective feedback, thorough evaluation and acknowledgement of contributions to the department. Complies with all standards set forth by state, federal and local law and other regulatory agencies. Is held accountable for compliance with all McLean County Area EMS System and Carle BroMenn Medical Center policies, protocols, and procedures. Qualifications Certifications: , Education: , Work Experience: Business Responsibilities Directly responsible for the daily operations of the McLean County Area EMS System office. Actively participates in strategic planning. Actively participates in implementation of strategic plan. Maintains workforce and staffing levels adequate to provide EMS office operations to minimize adverse events. Implements new personnel, office and clinical policies as appropriate. Supervises all EMS clerical support staff. Operates EMS office within approved budgets. Maintains accounts receivable records and completes all check requests. Coordinates, collects and tabulates monthly quality assurance data as requested by the EMS QA Coordinator and/or EMS Coordinator. Schedules monthly staff meetings. Schedules quarterly EMS provider meetings. Assures regularly scheduled EMS department meetings and inservices are scheduled and announced. Agendas and handout packets are prepared. Monitors and keeps EMS Manager aware of deadlines for submitting compliance related information. Responds quickly anytime information is needed or requested. Supports the EMS Manager, EMS QA Coordinator, EMS Education Coordinator as needed. Assists EMS Education Coordinator with maintaining a database of all EMS education assignments and contacting educators as necessary. Coordinates and participates in all EMS week activities. Monitors on-going marketing and public relations activities. Follows organizational guidelines on fiscal and budgetary issues. Takes steps to stay within budgetary guidelines for the EMS office operations. Identifies ways to improve policies and processes by utilizing problem solving skills including CQI Methods, seeking alternatives, etc. Effectively manages and leads change. Knowledgeable about safety issues present within the organization. Assures issues are appropriately addressed, a culture of safety is promoted and that patient, employee and visitor safety are continuously improved within the organization. About Us Find it here. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $17.6per hour - $28.51per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
