Delivery Product Manager

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2-3 days/week required)

Type: Full-time

Reports To: Product & Strategy Leader

Work Authorization Notice:

At this time, we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position. Candidates must have current, and future, unrestricted authorization to work in the country where the role is based.

Overview

At Togetherwork, we build software that powers communities - and our camp management platform is one of our most beloved products. It's an end-to-end solution serving multi-session overnight summer camps: staff recruitment, parent registration, payment plans, bunk and cabin assignments, activity scheduling, and everything in between. Our customers are camp directors - passionate, mission-driven people who love what they do. This role exists to serve them well.

We are looking for a Delivery Product Manager who leads with product vision and strategy while staying closely connected to day-to-day execution. This is not a pure delivery or project management role - it's a hybrid PM/PO position where approximately 60% of your time is spent on vision, strategy, roadmapping, and customer discovery, and 40% is spent partnering with engineering on backlog grooming, sprint readiness, and story definition.

If you thrive at the intersection of customer empathy, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution - and you're energized by customers who care deeply about what they do - this role is for you.

About the Product & Customer

Our camp management platform serves summer camp operators across the country. Camp season runs Memorial Day through Labor Day, during which our focus shifts to stability and critical issue resolution. The rest of the year is heads-down feature development - building what camps need to thrive in the next season.

Our customers are a specific breed: energetic, purpose-driven, and deeply human. They don't respond to overly formal or corporate interactions. The right person for this role will connect naturally with that culture and bring genuine enthusiasm for the domain.

What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Vision (60%)

  • Own the product roadmap for your assigned area of the platform
  • Define product goals, success metrics, and outcomes grounded in customer needs
  • Lead customer discovery, requirements gathering, and stakeholder input synthesis
  • Translate company strategy into clear, prioritized roadmaps and initiatives
  • Balance near-term delivery needs with longer-term strategic investments
  • Build the business case for what to build, what to defer, and what to decline

Product Ownership & Delivery (40%)

  • Partner closely with engineering and design to ensure work is well-defined and sprint-ready
  • Participate in backlog grooming, story refinement, and sprint planning
  • Own the full product lifecycle from inception through launch and post-launch learning
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual planning with roadmaps and delivery commitments
  • Identify risks early and proactively partner with teams to mitigate them

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, GTM, Support, and Operations
  • Communicate clearly on progress, risks, tradeoffs, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure launches are well-coordinated across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams

What We're Looking For
Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or a hybrid PM/PO role
  • Direct experience owning products or features from concept through launch
  • SaaS product experience is required - you understand what it means to build for a broad user base rather than customizing for individual customers
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with engineering teams
  • Exposure to roadmap planning, backlog management, and cross-functional delivery

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute
  • Customer-obsessed and comfortable connecting with passionate, mission-driven end users
  • Clear written and verbal communicator who can align diverse stakeholders
  • Data-informed decision maker with strong prioritization skills and the ability to say no
  • Ownership mindset - you take accountability, act with urgency, and make it right for the customer
  • Approachable, personable, and adaptable - you don't need to be the most formal person in the room to earn respect

Bonus Points

  • Background in EdTech (K-12), Parks & Recreation software, or other kid/youth program software
  • Familiarity with camp management, registration platforms, or seasonal B2C/B2B software
  • Experience working closely with PMO, Delivery, or Program Management functions
  • Proficiency with Jira and other Atlassian tools
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve product thinking, research, or execution

Interview Integrity & Use of AI

We value authenticity, expertise, and real-time problem solving. Candidates are expected to represent their own knowledge and thinking without the use of AI-assisted tools during interviews. This includes real-time scripting, transcription, response generation, or coaching tools across phone, video, and in-person formats. Candidates found using AI-assisted tools during interviews will be disqualified.

That said, we strongly value candidates who understand how to use AI thoughtfully and responsibly in their day-to-day product work. AI proficiency is a genuine plus for this role.

Why This Role Matters

Our camp management product is at an inflection point. We're moving from a history of one-off customizations toward a true SaaS mindset - building scalable features that serve all our customers well. The person in this role will help lead that shift, shaping a product that thousands of camp families and staff rely on every summer. It's meaningful work with real visibility and a path toward broader product leadership.
