Location: Temecula, CA

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM | Monday - Friday

Gear Up for Success With:



  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in polishing, machining, optical fabrication, or a precision manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of metal materials, including aluminum, nickel, stainless steel, chrome, and specialty alloys
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions
  • Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools such as micrometers, interferometers, and profilometers
  • Understanding of optical surface standards, tolerances, and finish requirements preferred
  • Familiarity with CNC polishing, automated finishing equipment, coatings, or plating preparation preferred
  • Experience working within quality systems such as ISO or AS9100 preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and maintain a clean and safe work environment


What You'll Be Hands-On With:



  • Perform precision polishing of metal optical components, including mirrors, reflectors, and molds
  • Prepare surfaces through grinding, lapping, polishing, and finishing processes to achieve required specifications
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain polishing equipment, laps, and buffing machines
  • Inspect finished components using visual inspections and precision measuring instruments
  • Verify surface roughness, flatness, reflectivity, and overall optical performance requirements
  • Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing procedures
  • Document production activities, measurements, and inspection results accurately
  • Identify defects, imperfections, or non-conformances and perform corrective polishing as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of parts, equipment, and work areas to prevent contamination
  • Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all company standards and procedures
  • Handle materials, chemicals, and components safely and responsibly
  • Produce high-quality optical components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, and scientific applications with a strong focus on craftsmanship and precision workmanship
