UVA Health's Medic V Team, based at 1205 Stoney Ridge Road, Charlottesville VA 22902, is looking for dedicated EMTs and AEMTs ready to deliver life-saving care across Central Virginia. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required. Experience: None Licensure: Certified as a Health Emergency Medical Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Valid Driver's License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. EVOC certification and be a released driver to transport patients required within 90 days of hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps), and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $19.00 hourly.
