Partnering with Aquent, a prominent organization in the legal sector is seeking a visionary leader to drive their client acquisition strategy. This firm is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services and is looking for an individual who can significantly impact their growth trajectory by optimizing digital marketing performance.

Are you a strategic marketing leader with a passion for driving measurable results and a deep understanding of digital acquisition channels? We are searching for a dynamic individual to take the helm of our growth marketing efforts, playing a pivotal role in scaling high-intent client acquisition. In this impactful position, you will directly influence our lead generation, client retention, and overall marketing ROI, shaping the future success of our client engagement. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to define strategies, allocate budgets, and prioritize initiatives that directly contribute to our mission of serving more clients.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical, performance-driven Director of Growth Marketing to lead customer acquisition strategy across high-intent digital channels. This is a hands-on performance marketing leadership role, not a traditional brand marketing position. The ideal candidate has experience managing meaningful paid acquisition budgets and understands how to drive measurable business outcomes through digital marketing. You will partner closely with the VP of Growth to optimize acquisition performance, improve lead quality, drive marketing efficiency, and scale business impact across multiple lines of business. This role requires a player-coach mentality-someone who can think strategically while also rolling up their sleeves to solve problems, move quickly, and operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

What You'll Do
Drive Performance Marketing Growth

  • Lead high-intent acquisition efforts across Google Search, Performance Max, Microsoft/Bing, YouTube, and other performance-driven channels
  • Optimize performance against key business KPIs including:

    • Lead volume

    • Lead quality
    • Cost per acquisition (CPA)
    • Conversion efficiency
    • Retained/signed customer outcomes
    • Identify opportunities to improve acquisition efficiency and marketing ROI across different business segments

Own Search Strategy & Optimization

  • Bring deep expertise in modern paid search environments, particularly Google Ads
  • Partner on campaign strategy, optimization, bidding approaches, targeting, and funnel performance
  • Ensure performance marketing efforts are aligned to measurable business impact-not vanity metrics
  • Stay current with the rapidly changing search ecosystem and emerging acquisition strategies

Data, Analytics & Business Impact

  • Evaluate performance through a highly data-driven lens and make optimization recommendations based on business outcomes
  • Analyze acquisition performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics, intake, creative, and marketing teams to troubleshoot issues and improve outcomes
  • Present clear, metrics-based recommendations to leadership

Operate with Speed & Ownership

  • Work with urgency in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift quickly
  • Act proactively when performance changes occur, troubleshoot issues, and move quickly toward solutions
  • Help support business continuity during critical periods, including occasional weekend responsiveness if performance issues arise

What We're Looking For
Required Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid acquisition, or growth marketing
  • Recent, hands-on experience with Google Ads/Search marketing
  • Experience managing or influencing $1M+/month in paid media spend strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business impact through performance marketing
  • Experience in high-intent acquisition environments where marketing directly drives revenue or customer acquisition
  • Strong data orientation with the ability to clearly articulate performance impact and optimization decisions
  • Stable career progression with strong tenure (generally 2+ years per role preferred)

Strong candidates often come from:

  • Insurance
  • Travel
  • SaaS
  • Subscription-based businesses
  • High-volume B2C lead generation
  • Other fast-paced, digitally driven acquisition environments

What Success Looks Like

  • Driving efficient growth in qualified leads and signed customers
  • Improving acquisition quality and conversion performance
  • Operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Bringing urgency, ownership, and problem-solving to complex marketing challenges

Important to Know

This is a highly visible role within a fast-moving business. Candidates who thrive here are typically:

  • Highly accountable
  • Data-driven
  • Comfortable with urgency and pressure
  • Strong communicators
  • Hands-on problem solvers
  • Comfortable operating in a high-performance environment
