Provides leadership, supervision and direction to nuclear maintenance personnel performing periodic or corrective station maintenance. To ensure the plant is maintained safely during all modes of operation such that the expectations of regulators, management and customers are met. Build, train, and maintain a team of nuclear maintenance professionals able to meet these demands within guidelines and regulations that apply to the maintenance of a nuclear generation facility. Ensure personal safety is maintained through vigilant observation of all applicable safety procedures and guidelines. Required Qualifications: High School/Ged 4 years related work experience Additional Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated acceptable performance using computer applications, e.g., WMS, Word, Lotus Notes, EQSS, Nuclear University Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to support corporate and station policies Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple and complex tasks Demonstrated ability to effectively handle conflict and motivate subordinates/team members Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy to both internal and external customers Demonstrated promoter of personnel safety Working Conditions Potential radiation from units. Extreme heat from equipment (160); cold (15). Cramped and confined spaces result in a need for respirators, or other physical problems. Lifting of heavy equipment. High pressures from steam and water On call 24 hours a day.
