The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at
UNC Asheville will assist the Head Coach in leading a competitive
NCAA Division I Basketball program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan. The ideal candidate will exhibit character traits of integrity, servant-leadership, work ethic, creativity, and respect for others and passion for their work in college athletics. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach in the management and administration of all phases of an intercollegiate sports program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and the University.

| Required Education/Experience/Skills |
Bachelor's degree. Prior experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level. |
| Preferred Education/Experience/Skills |
- Master's degree preferred.
- Previous collegiate coaching experience.
- Experience as a Division I student-athlete.
- Three to four years of previous collegiate coaching and/or playing experience.
- Demonstrated skills in developing and motivating student-athletes for athletic and academic success at the NCAA Division I level.

Under the direction of the head coach, the assistant coach will assist in all phases of a
NCAA Division I Men's Basketball program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University including but not limited to: Assist with recruiting, Assist with scouting, Camp Director, Academic liaison to Student-Athlete Services, Liaison to Strength and Conditioning Coach, Assist with all aspects of social media and marketing, Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes, Create monthly newsletter for Alumni and Fans. |
